Two Beetles Swallowed by Spring Grass

I positioned the camera low so the tall wheat-green blades would swallow the wheel arches — the cream Bug almost disappears into the field while the two-tone yellow-and-black one holds its ground against a bruised, pre-storm sky. The diffused overcast light kills harsh shadows and lets the paint textures breathe without competing. There's something quietly stubborn about old cars parked where they clearly don't belong.
