Tide Line, Low Water, February

I shot this at 7am on a receding tide — the sand still held the impression of the water's edge, a thin copper seam where iron-rich sediment had settled overnight. Nothing was posed. The light came in almost horizontally and made the wet flats look like hammered tin.
