Thin Water, No Horizon

Three days after the storm the crust had softened just enough to hold a half-centimeter of standing water, and I walked out until the shore disappeared behind me. The sky and the ground traded places somewhere beneath my boots and I stopped moving because movement felt like an argument. I made this exposure at the moment I felt most uncertain which way was up.
