Thimble Holding the Atlantic

A rusted sewing thimble sits on a cracked salt flat, brimming with a churning, full-scale ocean — complete with whitecaps, a distant cargo ship, and the curved horizon of a real sea. I wanted the viewer to feel the weight of something enormous being held by something that barely fits on a fingertip.
