The Clockwork Moth Finds Foxglove

She came to me in a dream — copper-veined wings that tick like a pocket watch left in tall grass. I built her from grief and gear-teeth, and she chose the foxglove herself, as they always do. The bloom doesn't care whether the hunger is mechanical or not.
